This month's nugget!

John 11:38-44

Reading this passage tells us of Lazarus whom was raised from the dead.  The
thing that separated him from the Lord was a big stone in front of the entrance to the
tomb.  Before God raised him from the dead God asked them to remove the stone
from the entrance to the tomb.  God said, "take the stone away."  May i ask now what
big stones do you have blocking your way to God?  We must be willing to call upon
God to remove all the hindrances that stand in the way to new life.  Let's look at what
was inside the tomb: a stinking dead body ( a corpse).  God can give you back what
life has taken away from you!  We should and need to come before God and simply
ask him to deal with the stuff or stone that is blocking our way to him; it requires a lot
of courage on your part to do this.

Let me just say that you can never experience new life in Him until you ask him to
remove the stones that block the way.  God can and will restore to you what you have
lost.  Look at Mary and Martha, they had to remove "the stone" first, then God restored
to them their brother Lazarus.  Are you willing to face the truth and ask god to remove
the stones in your life.  King David had to come to God to ask and get him to remove
the stones in his life.  David said these words in Psalms 66:18-19, "if I regard iniquity
in my heart, the Lord will not hear".  David then said God had heard him, listened, and
"attended to the voice of my prayer."  God acted with grace, mercy, and love to David.

I do not know what big stone is blocking you from coming to God.  Ask God to
remove that stone (to take it away) and just as the dead corpse was given new life -
my friend - God wants to do that for you, too.
